We are excited that you are interested in serving at Central. We offer multiple places to serve through our various ministries. Take some time and check out all of our service opportunities. Note: All volunteers that serve with anyone under the age of 18 will be required to complete and pass a background check.

Preschool Check-in Greeter | Greet everyone with a smile! Help families check-in, print out security labels, and direct families to their child’s class.

Preschool Group Leader (or Assistant) | Serve with children between the ages of 24 months and 4 years old. Lead children in a  Bible story from our Orange curriculum. All materials and supplies are provided.

Nursery | Serve with 6 weeks old to 24 months old children. Provide childcare for the children in our nursery.

Mission Friends Leader | Teach children about missionaries from all parts of the world. All materials and supplies are provided.

Preschool Choir | Teach 3 and 4 year olds to worship through singing. All materials and supplies are provided.

Sunday AM Opportunities

8:30-9:30a // 9:45-10:45a // 11a-12p

Central Park Host | Serves as the emcee; usually welcomes the kids; may transition to the Bible Story and worship; dismisses kids to Small Group

Central Park Bible Storyteller | A teacher who is a good communicator; can tell the Bible Story in a creative, attention-gripping way

Central Park Worship Team | Leads children and Small Group Leaders in a fun and meaningful time of worship through music

Central Park Tech Team | Works together to provide audio, video, and computer graphics support

Central Park Producer | Oversees and directs the Large Group environment, makes sure onstage and backstage volunteers are ready to go, keeps a close watch on time.

Small Group Coach | Provides leadership and support to a team of Small Group Leaders and oversees the learning environment in the classroom during the week.

Small Group Leader | Becomes the primary model or teacher for a group of up to 10 kids; stays with same small group all year; encourages spiritual growth, relationships, discussion and other Small Group activities

Host Team | Greets and helps check-in/registration process and explains security procedures

 

Sunday PM Opportunities

5:30-7pm

The following opportunities are for all AWANA age groups: Puggles (2 years prior to K), Sparks (K-2nd grade), and TnT (3rd-5th grade).

AWANA Listener | Supports the leader by listening to kids recite sections during Handbook Time

AWANA Large Group Teacher | Bible lessons in a large group setting

AWANA Game Time | Leading fun and high energy games and activities 

 

Wednesday PM Opportunities

6-8p

Host Team | Greets and helps people with the check-in/registration process and explains security procedures (6-8p)

RA and GA Leaders | Working with the RA and GA leaders to serve on Wednesday Nights. (7-7:45p)

Children’s Choir | Leading our kids by teaching music (6:15-7p)

MS Leader | Available on Sunday or Wednesday nights to provide an adult presence in the room, be a godly influence, and build relationships with students

Community Group Leader | Has a desire to lead an off-campus Community Group in their home or someone else’s home. Willing to facilitate study with a group.

Community Group Media Tech | This person needs to be available to serve “on call” on Sunday mornings to assist with any Community Group that may have an issue with their TV, DVD player, or accessing Right Now Media in their room. Must be familiar with Right Now Media, how to use a Roku, and have general knowledge about TVs and DVD players.

Soccer Head Coach | Coaches teach basic fundamentals of soccer through skills and drills along with sharing life lessons through mid-practice huddles. Also communicates league info for their team. Soccer knowledge is not a must. Practice for 1 hour a week and play 1 game a week for 8 weeks. Approximately a 3 hour per week total commitment.

Referee |  Being a positive influence to the game is your biggest role in this program. You can serve any amount of time varying from multiple games on 1 game day to an entire season. There are 8 weeks of Saturday games that last approximately 5 total hours.

Half Time Commissioner | Oversees activities at the halftime of every game hour (typically a devotional). Recruit people to lead your halftimes, 1 for each week of games, to be responsible for the activities of one day.

Half Time Captain | Recruit halftime leaders to lead the activities on their assigned game day. This generally consists of a half time devotion for each hour.

Field Setup and Take Down Crew | Setup helpers arrive at the fields approximately 1 hour before games to set up tents, field flags and more for the day’s games. Take down begins during the last game and is completed approximately 45 minutes after the final game. You can serve any amount of time varying from several hours on 1 game day to an entire season. There are 8 weeks of Saturday games that last approximately 5 hours.

CBC Outreach Commissioner | Recruit Outreach Team Captains to enlist weekly outreach teams. On game days, the team members will wear a distinctive CBC shirt to games, naturally engage in conversation, answer questions and greet the 100’s of visitors to our campus. The best method for finding people to lead your halftimes is to recruit eight outreach captains – 1 for each week of games.

Outreach Team Captains | Recruits team members to wear a distinctive CBC shirt to games, naturally engage in conversation, answer questions about Central’s ministries, and greet hundreds of guests to our campus.

CBC Outreach Representative | Wear a distinctive CBC shirt to games. Naturally engage in conversation, answer questions and greet visitors to our campus. You can serve any amount of time varying from several hours on 1 game day to an entire season. There are 8 weeks of Saturday games that last approximately 5 hours.

PA Announcer | Welcoming the crowd, performing player introductions, half time announcements, and playing music. You can serve any amount of time varying from several hours on 1 game day to an entire season. There are 8 weeks of Saturday games that last approximately 5 hours.

Time Keeper | Keep time for the games. You can serve any amount of time varying from several hours on 1 game day to an entire season. There are 8 weeks of Saturday games that last approximately 5 hours.

Field Preparation | Paint lines on the field and any other preparation as needed for weekly use.

String players | Looking for intermediate to advance level players of the following instruments. Must be at least 10th grade and have been playing for 3+ years. Must audition.

Lead Guitar | On audition basis only

Choir Member | Must be 11th grade or older and can commit to Wednesday night rehearsals as well as the 8:30a worship service. No audition required, but must have a heart for worship.

Children’s Choir Leader/Assistant | Have love for children and a desire to help them experience God through music and worship. Must be available from 6-7p on Wednesdays.

Stage Help | Set up and tear down stage for the 11a Next Gen service. Would serve immediately after the 8:30a service and the 11a service. Maximum 15 minutes each time.

Clean preschool toys | Clean toys on a regular basis to ensure our preschool environment provides a healthy place for ministry

Window Cleaning | Clean windows in the office, preschool, children, and adult classroom areas

Pew Cleaning | Wipe down our pews with furniture oil several times throughout the year

Weeding | Pull weeds from the landscaped areas around the church

General Landscaping | Help with our landscaping needs throughout the year at Central

Ground Crew | Cutting the lawns at Central and maintain the equipment

Painter | Paint for different projects around Central
