Loving and Leading His Little Creations
The Lead Small Training is for all Next Gen leaders who have committed to this event by August 28th. If you would like to attend this event, please speak with your ministry’s staff member so a ticket can be purchased for you.
We will also meet at a restaurant (TBD) in Woodstock at 5p.
This event is a great opportunity for Next Gen leaders to gain a greater understanding of the Orange strategy, as well as learn new ways to connect with those you lead! Our hope to that all of our Next Gen leaders can attend!
Growing up in Douglasville, my family had a southern gospel group, Christian Heritage. We traveled every weekend to many churches furthering God's Kingdom, so I've been serving in the ministry my whole life. My background was in Corporate Staffing and Human Resources for 11 years before I felt God's calling on my life. We have served as a family in our preschool ministry for over 15 years. I have been the Director of our amazing Weekday Preschool Program for 10 years. My husband, Warren, and I have 2 sons, Nick and Thomas.
On Sunday mornings, we offer Bible stories and playtime for your preschooler at 8:30a. At 9:45a, we spend time reviewing the Bible story again, engaging with them by making a craft, and then providing a snack. At 11a, we offer a time of Preschool Worship where your child has fun with music and movements, followed up by a recap of the morning’s Bible story.
On Sunday evenings, we provide nursery for children ages birth through 2 years olds. For children 2 and older, they participate in AWANA. These Sunday nights are loud, crazy, and engaging! AWANA is held on Sunday nights throughout the school year from 5:30-7pm. AWANA is centered on the gospel and scripture memory. We’ve got some of the most memorable games around, plus children and youth are trained to serve others! Your little one is sure to love it!
On Wednesdays at 6:10p, we offer Preschool Choir where your little one can sing songs about Jesus and learn music and movement. At 7p, we offer Mission Friends. We teach preschoolers on their level about missionary families around the world furthering God’s kingdom.
Our goal is to make your first time bringing your child to Central is the easiest process possible. When you enter our Little Creations ministry, you will be greeted by volunteers who will help you check your child into our security system so you can feel safe and know that your child is safe during your time at Central.
On your first visit, we ask for the following personal information: parent/legal guardian names, children’s names and birthdates, address, phone number, and any special instructions (allergies, special needs) for each child. This information is entered into our database to help maintain our secure check-in system and our parent page system.
Have questions before you bring your child to Central for the first time? We would love to help! Feel free to email Stephanie Johnston, our Preschool Director, and she will be more than happy to answer any questions you may have about attending Central.
At Central, we take the safety of your child very seriously. All of our volunteers must pass a background check. We also utilize a security system with security stickers for checking in and picking up your child that ensures you are the only person who can pick up him or her at the end of the day. Central also employs an off-duty police officer, as well as our own security team to ensure your child’s safety. One last measure we provide is paging system for parents/guardians, just in case we need to reach you during the worship experience.
