Volunteers frequently assist in local ministry opportunities giving of their time, talents and financial support to help many. The Share House, Loving Hands, Good Samaritan Center, Douglas County Shelter, PRC Medical, and Care Place are a few of the groups Central assist each year.
CBC Douglasville, GA | June 24 – 28, 2019
An opportunity for Central to host 200 middle and high school students, along with adults. They will do work on houses across our county.
St. George Island
Construction Trip/ Christian Retreat Center | February 24 – March 1, 2019
The retreat center has been in a very special partnership with the CBC since the cottages were constructed years ago. SGI Retreat Center will have several construction projects, some maintenance and clean up projects needs. The trip cost is $25.
Cincinnati Mission Trip | June 1 – 7, 2019
Join us as we partner with a church plant in Ohio. We will complete construction projects at the church, carry out community evangelism, bible school, and have some free time as well. The trip cost is $175. Lodging, a majority of the food, and excursions are included in the price.
Guatemala Mission Trip | July 6-13, 2019 | $1,800.00
During this week we are going to show God’s love through leading conferences, construction projects, carry out medial clinics, and leading school activities/evangelism in remote areas. The global mission teams visit Guatemala annually.
Wally joined the staff at Central Baptist in 2015. He began serving in vocational ministry in 2012 as a Church Administrator and has served in many areas, including Campus Minister at North Alabama Community College in Rainsville, Alabama. Prior to being called into full-time Christian Service, he was in private business and worked for several large corporations in the insurance industry.
Wally’s education includes a Bachelors in Business Administration from Georgia Southern. He is presently pursuing a Master’s Degree from the New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary. Wally was born in Rome, Georgia and grew up in Blue Ridge, Georgia. He accepted Christ as his Lord and Savior on a mission trip in New Orleans in 1973. He and his wife, Kelly, have two children: Will and Tucker.
